Invisible VFX was the core requirement of this project. Back in summer-fall 2024, AI tools were nowhere near as advanced as they are today. Yet our team successfully integrated AI into a traditional VFX pipeline, replacing much of the complex CGI work with AI-driven solutions while maintaining photorealistic results. The result was a faster, more efficient workflow that pushed the boundaries of what AI-assisted visual effects could achieve at the time.

Pitfall presented one major VFX challenge: the massive pit at the center of the story. Our team developed a hybrid approach, using traditional camera tracking while creating the entire visual environment with AI tools, eliminating the need for complex 3D reconstruction. Beyond the pit itself, the film features extensive blood effects, weapons, gunfire, injuries, and other violent details - all brought to life through AI-driven VFX.
